BarerGuard is designed for waterproofing all types of concretes and masonry surfaces such as foundation walls, concrete panels, exterior basement walls, retaining walls, and moisture-retaining structures such as cisterns and concrete shrubbery boxes. Mixed with water and Portland cement, and fully reinforced with BarerGuard Fabric, it establishes a hard-wearing, flexible compound. It is also resistant to hydro-static pressure and ideal for swimming pools, dams and subterranean waterproofing.

Uses:

  • Foundation walls waterproofing
  • Basements waterproofing
  • Lining water-retaining structures
  • Masonry shrubbery boxes waterproofing
  • Bathroom floors
  • Balconies and corridors
Advantages & Benefits:
  • Outstanding adhesion, it does not peel off like stick-on adhesives
  • Wear-resistant and hard to damage, lowering job costs
  • Protects masonry surfaces from water damage
  • Resists hydro-static pressure
  • Extremely Ultra violet resistant
  • Resists acid rain and chemical pollutants to protect from chemical spills and fall-out damage
  • Non-toxic formulation is safe to install
  • Meets V.O.C. emissions regulations to eliminate facility downtime during installation
  • Easy application and cleanup
  • No special equipment required to install
  • It lasts at least 15 years under a proper maintenance schedule

Application Specifics:

Surface Preparation:

(A)    Remove any loose or flaking particles, scale, dirt, rust or scale.

(B)    In the case of Masonry surfaces, if the surfaces are too dry, it is necessary to spray some water first in an attempt to stop lmoisture loss from slurry too quickly.

Mixing:

  • Slurry is prepared by mixing one-part BarerGuard, one-part water, and three parts Cement. Mix with a slow-speed mechanical mixer until totally homogenous and lump-free slurry is produced.

       Application:

(A)    Apply BarerGuard slurry to the dampened area and immediately imbed the Fabric in the wet slurry. Work out any bubbles or creases with the brush. The Fabric  should lap by a minimum of 4-6cm.

(B)    Apply BarerGuard slurry to the dampened area and immediately imbed the Fabric in the wet slurry. Work out Fully saturate the Fabric  from above with more slurry and allow 12 hours to dry.

(C)    Apply BarerGuard slurry to the dampened area and immediately imbed the Fabric in the wet slurry. Work out Follow with a final coat of CleanGuard.

      Clean Up:

Protect other areas by covers. Thoroughly rinse application equipment with clean water.
